( local accessibility ramp built by Saron )

Our church is full of people with a heart for serving others. We serve our local community by lending a hand to people who can't help themselves. We've built accessibility ramps, repaired houses, cleaned up yards, provided meals, and distributed clothing. Saron opens its facilities for community events, high school team practices, group dinners for clubs, Toys-for-Tots, and others. We support the Linton Food Pantry with volunteers, financial support, and donations of goods and food. One of our ministries provides coins and laundry detergent for free laundry to those who need it. At Saron, "Every Member is a Minister", we all have gifts that God can use.

In July of 2024 we will be taking a group of members to Prague, Czechia (Czech Republic) to participate in an English Language Camp hosted by Zizkov Church and missionaries, Curt and Vicky Mobley. The purpose of the camp is relational evangelism. Christians and non-Christians come to the camp to practice and learn English. Sessions are led by english speakers with the goal of facilitating conversation to improve language skills. The material used, while Christian, is a soft, subtle introduction to Christian beliefs. Afternoons and evenings are spent in activities like games, site seeing, music, board games, and general conversation.

Throughout the years the Mission Trip Saron takes with its youth has become a consistently life changing event that is looked forward to all year long. For the last fifteen years or so we have tried to plan it so that within a students time in high school they get an overseas trip and on those trips we have visited Germany, Rome, Venice, Hungary, Budapest, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. The rest of the years we stay closer to home and have visited Louisiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri, Illinois, and Wisconsin among others. We see this trip as being of two-fold importance: on the one hand we are giving of our time and talents to help others and meet the needs every summer of folks with fewer resources than us. On the other hand we are the ones who always walk away more blessed for having sacrificed, spent time with saints all over the world, studied and worshiped, spent time together as a group, and challenged ourselves beyond our comfort zone. We invite your youth to join us this summer on our next Youth Mission Trip!

Beyond our doors are real people with real needs. Jesus calls us to take care of the least, the last, and the lost. We have long been a church that tried its best to serve those around us. In 2018 we focused our efforts again on mission. We built a Mission Team and began to find service opportunities to engage in locally, regionally, and globally.
